The first college specialised in ophthalmology in Sudan and the academic arm of Al Basar International Foundation, which works in blindness prevention. Established in 2007, it is a non-profit academic college that graduates support cadres in ophthalmology, trains technicians and optometrists, develops health-education programmes and introduces modern technology.
